For bookkeeping practices & accounting firms

The returns your clients need. Prepared under your name.

Lakeshore prepares complex Canadian tax filings on a white-label basis for firms across British Columbia. Your client relationship stays yours. Ours is with you.

Every practice hits the same wall.

A good client needs a return that sits just outside what you prepare in volume — a family trust, a non-resident disposition, a section 85 rollover, a five-province allocation.

You have three options. Turn it away. Refer it out and hope the relationship survives. Or spend twenty hours on a return you'll see twice a year.

There's a fourth.

You stay in front, start to finish.

Send

You send us the file

Trial balance, prior-year returns, whatever you have. Secure upload, no software migration, no change to how your practice runs.

Prepare

We prepare and review

A designated professional prepares the return and a second reviews it. You receive a draft plus a memo covering the positions taken and anything we flagged along the way.

Deliver

You deliver it

The return goes out under your firm's name and your engagement letter. You sign, you bill, you keep the relationship. We stay invisible.

What we prepare for firms.

  • Corporate returns (T2), including associated and connected groups
  • Trust and estate returns (T3), including graduated rate estates
  • Partnership information returns (T5013)
  • Non-resident filings — s.216, s.217, NR4, NR6, T1159
  • Foreign reporting — T1134, T1135, T106
  • Multi-province allocation and inter-provincial apportionment
  • Reorganizations and elections — s.85, s.86, amalgamations, wind-ups
  • Deceased taxpayer and terminal returns
  • Voluntary Disclosures Program submissions
  • CRA review and audit correspondence support
  • Complex personal returns (T1) — rental portfolios, capital gains, US-connected
  • Estate freezes and succession-related filings

Not seeing yours? Ask. If it's a Canadian filing, we've likely done it.

Four promises, and none of them are a handshake.

Every partner engagement puts these in the agreement, where you can enforce them.

01

We do not contact your clients

No calls, no emails, no connection requests. All communication runs through you unless you specifically bring us onto a call.

02

We do not market to your clients

Not during the engagement and not after it ends. Names that reach us through your firm never enter our marketing.

03

We do not solicit your staff

Your team is not a recruiting pipeline. That holds for the duration of the relationship and beyond it.

04

It's written into the agreement

Mutual non-solicitation and confidentiality, signed before the first file moves. Not a policy we describe — a term you can hold us to.

Capacity and depth, only when you need them.

Seasonal capacity without seasonal payroll

Scale up in February, scale down in July. No hiring, no training, no salary sitting idle through the summer.

Technical depth on demand

Senior-level expertise on the files that don't come up often enough to justify building it in-house.

Predictable cost per file

You know what a file costs before you set your client's fee, so your margin is clear from the start.

Turnaround you can promise

Standard files in [X] business days, rush available. We commit to a date and hold it — including in March.

Per-return pricing, built for firms.

Volume pricing for firms sending consistent work through the season.

40–60%

Typical markup partner firms apply — while still delivering the return below what an in-house build-out would cost them.

Request the partner fee schedule

What firms ask before the first file.

Do you sign the return?

No. You remain the preparer of record and the client's representative with CRA. We work behind you.

What software do you use?

[TaxCycle / Taxprep / other]. We can work from your files or ours and deliver in whatever format your workflow needs.

How do we transfer files securely?

Encrypted client portal. If you'd rather stay inside your existing document management system, we'll work there instead.

What's the minimum volume?

None. Some partners send one file a year — the one they'd otherwise turn away. Others send fifty in a season.

What if CRA reviews the return?

We support the response at no additional charge on returns we prepared. You stay the point of contact throughout.

Are you insured?

Yes — professional liability coverage of $[X]. Certificate available on request before the first engagement.
